IMPORTANT NOTICE
ALL BREATH TESTS MUST BE CARRIED OUT BY THE PATIENT HIMSELF AT HOME IN ORDER TO AVOID TRANSMISSION OF CORONAVIRUS
In order to minimize the risk of transmission of the coronavirus during the laboratory care activity, we inform you that the Breath Tests for the detection of Helicobacter Pylori bacteria, as well as the diagnostic tests for Sugar Intolerance (Lactose, Fructose or Sorbitol) and Bacterial Overgrowth, must be performed by the patients themselves at home.
For your convenience, you can come and pick up the KIT for sample collection (report collection area, next to the pharmacy door), with the prescription flyer from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our staff will explain verbally and precisely how to do it correctly, and will provide written instructions in case you have any additional questions. Once the sample has been taken, they must return the kit to the same place and time for analysis.
For information purposes, below we indicate the approximate times required for each test to be carried out:
- Helicobacter pylori: 10 minutes.
- Sugar Intolerance and Bacterial Overgrowth: 3 hours.
NOTE: In the event that due to personal circumstances it is not possible to return the KIT on the same day as the sample collection, THE TEST MAY BE PERFORMED THE DAY BEFORE AND BRING THE KIT THE NEXT DAY AT THE LATEST.
Thank you for trusting our laboratory.
