Cosmetic Industry Magazine publishes, in its latest issue, an article by our Director of the Microbiology Department, Dr. Mª Luisa Güerri, where she explains the aspects that must be included in a microbiology report on a cosmetic product.
All the effort made in the manufacturing process of a cosmetic product is useless if the microbiological control does not have the same level of exigency as the one applied in the manufacturing process. All the criteria required for the microbiological analysis of the final product are detailed in the respective ISO standards and must be included in the microbiological report, so that the manufacturer, or eventually the Health Authorities, can be sure that the result is compliant.
