Dr. Goya Analysis will once again be present at the 10th Annual ERPA Summit 2026, which will take place on February 24 and 25, 2026, at Leiden University (Netherlands). The event will be held in a hybrid format, both in person and virtually, and will bring together regulatory affairs managers and professionals, safety assessors, laboratories, and competent authorities to analyze EU cosmetics legislation, its practical application, and its ongoing evolution.
Over the past ten years, the ERPA Annual Summit has established itself as a forum for debate on issues that are not always reflected in written guidelines, such as Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR), the application of New Approach Methodologies (NAM), compliance practices in cross-border contexts, etc. In addition to the presentations, the format of the event encourages debate and informal exchanges, facilitating understanding of how regulatory requirements are interpreted and applied in practice.
Placing cosmetic products on the market in the European Union involves much more than mere formal compliance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009. Correct interpretation of constantly changing regulatory expectations, consistency between different jurisdictions, and alignment between scientific assessment and compliance practices continue to pose ongoing challenges.
This year’s Summit will feature speakers and attendees from European and international authorities, including representatives from the European Commission, the NVWA, the UK OPSS, the ICCR, and other regulatory bodies.
The theme of this tenth edition in 2026 is “Together for safe, compliant, and reliable cosmetics” / “Compliance in practice,” emphasizing the current regulatory context, in which Responsible Persons are expected to demonstrate not only regulatory compliance but also scientific judgment, risk management, and a high degree of responsibility.
